Andrew, you h@ve taken me back to my happy childhood in Derby, wandering through fields, copses and spinners (little groups of trees for those who haven’t heard those words before) and sledging on the local golf course in Winter.
It is interesting that we seem to find security in our memories of the good times. God is our refuge in these times
Andrew, as I’ve suggested previously, I think you should lead a ‘mission trip’ to the UK, especially around Stratford-on-Avon! Sign me up….it sounds wonderful. And yes, so is the security and assurance we can enjoy in God.
Really enjoyed following your memories of the Welcome Hills and the 1812 Overture cannons to celebrate your engagement was priceless! I’m so thankful that our security is in a God who never changes, unlike many of the places where we grew up.
