Thoughts from the Pastors: Nath

Each week we will be producing a thought from the Pastors. Sometimes it will be in video format, sometimes in text.

We hope that you find them encouraging, thought provoking and helpful!

Thanks, Nathan. Everything you said was so relevant to our situation right now. Thanks so much for helping me to still feel connected to EBC.. I’m looking forward to hearing from each of the pastors in the future.
Blessings on you all and your families.

Thanks Nath. As I purposefully didn’t watch the news this morning, I was contemplating how sharply our idols come into focus when things are taken away from us. I usually love to do the grocery shopping. It’s me time. But I can also usually get what I want, when I want. Not so any more. I’m not sure how to name that idol, but I sure do miss it.
I also have recently been revelling in the prop that being physically at church has become to my spiritual well-being. Now, not there. I am much more responsible for my own spiritual nourishment.
The other thing that has been brought sharply into focus, is how much I love our church – the people, not so much the building. I am really looking forward to whenever it will be that we can meet together again in person.

Thanks Nathan for your pastoral care and thoughts! The message is inspiring and encouraging. It is great to know that we are still together and connected, even though we can’t gather together physically.
