Andrew became our Senior Pastor in March 2010. He is married to Roslyn and has 3 daughters. Andrew trained as a chef, working on Park Lane, London, before working for almost 5 years as a bank clerk. He then spent time as a youth worker and coffee shop manager before going to London to train at Spurgeon’s College. Abingdon Baptist Church, UK, was the first Church where Andrew served as a Pastor. Andrew & Roslyn married during his ministry at Abingdon which they shared for 3 years. They then moved to Thatcham Baptist Church where they spent 10 years during which time their 3 daughters were born.
Rev Howard Bennett commenced as Executive Pastor in January 2016. Howard has lived in Sydney most of his life and was baptised at Carlingford Baptist Church in 1975. After leaving school, Howard joined the Commonwealth Bank and completed a Bachelor of Business Studies degree. After completing his degree and working an additional 2 years as a Senior Managers Assistant, Howard felt a sense of call to Pastoral ministry and applied for study at Morling College commencing in 1985. He has served as a Pastor in 3 Baptist Churches: Eastwood (Youth) 1986-1988, Islington (Youth) 1989-1993 and Casino (Pastor) from 1994-2002. He joined Baptist World Aid Australia in 2003 as Church Liaison Manager and after being made redundant in 2009, worked in a variety of roles with the NSW Department of Disability, Lifestyle Solutions Australia, Baptist Churches of NSW and ACT and BaptistCare. Howard became a member of EBC in 2008 and has been involved in a number of ministry areas including Deacon, Assistant Church Secretary and Finance Officer.
Nathan is married to Katherine and has two daughters, Eliza and Sophie.
Nathan commenced his ministry as Youth Minister at Chester Hill (1995-1999) and after graduating from Morling Theological College, served as Youth and Young Adult Pastor at Milton Ulladulla (1999-2003) and Epping Baptist (2003-2009). In 2009, Nathan worked with Global Interaction, the Australian Baptist Ministries cross cultural sending agency until 2017. This role took him to churches across the state and many travel opportunities to much of Asia.
In 2018, Nathan returned to Epping Baptist, believing in God’s leading to return to local mission and pastoral ministry.
Jess has been at Epping Baptist Church since 2006 when she and her family moved to EBC. She grew up attending the youth programs and after finishing school Jess completed her Bachelor of Design in Interior and Spatial Design. During this time she was on the youth team leading on both Sunday mornings and Friday nights. She also directed Conjola Lakeside Beach Mission. After this, she began studying a Bachelor of Ministry at Morling College in 2015 and in July 2015 joined staff as the youth intern. Since then her studies have continued and in April 2017 she moved into a Student Pastor role heading up the Youth and Young Adult Ministries at EBC and was appointed full-time to her current role as Associate Pastor Young People in 2019.
Dharshana’s role at as the Christian Youth Worker at Cheltenham Girls commences in 2018.
Prior to this she served as a student minister at Hunters Hill Anglican and Strathfield Anglican where she was involved in youth and young adult ministry. Dharshana grew up in the Riverina (South West NSW) before moving to Sydney to pursue university. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Modern History before working in the NFP sector. Later on she completed a Bachelor of Ministry at Morling College where she focused on youth and youth chaplaincy.
Nic has served as Chaplain at Epping Boys High School since the beginning of 2013. He is married to Jane who has taught at Cheltenham Girls High School in PDHPE for the past 10 years. They have 2 children, Samuel and Zachary. Prior to his current role, Nic worked as a PDHPE teacher for 5 years as well as playing semi-professional football (soccer) since his late teens. After teaching a few years, Nic felt called into Pastoral Care and completed a Graduate diploma in Divinity (Chaplaincy) to become more equipped to assist students beyond their studies.
